Salt Lake Cityโs Downtown Farmers Market is one of my favorite places. It opens in June and closes in October. I try to go every Saturday, I hate missing a week. There are so many fun finds: fresh produce, herbs, flowers, baked goods, cheese, honey, art, jewelry, etc.
Here are some recent photos from my trip to the farmers market.
Every week I come home with different items from the market. I try to buy enough produce to last us until the next week. I love incorporating fresh, local foods into our meals. Here are a few of my favorite farmerโs market recipes:
Grilled Pear, Brie, and Honey Crostini with Fresh Rosemary

Gorgeous pictures!! We love our farmerโs market too. Weโre really lucky here in Southern California, because our markets run year round due to our warm weather (and thus longer growing seasons).
Iโve been wanting to buy some lilies for the yard, but havenโt made it downtown yet. Hopefully, Iโll find some time to go soon. Great pictures.

We do the same! Our market opens on Motherโs Day and closes on Halloween, though there is not a lot of fresh produce in May. This is Canadaland after all. ๐ Okay. Iโm definitely making the baked zucchini fries.

I never missed a single one of the Lawrence, KS markets every week (if we were in town). Iโd get up every Sat. morning at 6:30 to be one of the first there at 7:00 (Best pick of the goods!). We need to get together and go. Iโm DYING without my farmersโ market. ๐
Weโll be out of town this next week (July 31), but after that will be in town for like forever.

I love trying new things Iโve never cooked with before. Iโm on the hunt for squash blossoms and heirloom tomatoes right now. Beautiful pictures!

i love the downtown farmerโs market more than any other BUT murray also has a lovely little market ๐ cherries are a favorite find this yearโฆ knight brotherโs honey (whipped), fresh herbs and mushrooms are always a treat too. my dad grows a garden so i donโt need to look much further than that!

Those photos are stunning! I love going to the local famers markets here and just perusingโฆ Itโs such a relaxing way to spend a morning or afternoon, plus I always go home with lots of good, healthy stuff to cook and bake with. What could be better?
