Farewell to Summer

The end of summer is near and today I am saying goodbye with a few photos from Salt Lake Cityโs farmers market.
What were some of your favorite summer memories? Of course some of ours revolved around food. Here are a few of our favorite summer recipes.

I hate saying farewell to summer, but I am excited for the fall. I am looking forward to football, crisp air, apples, sweatshirts, colorful leaves, and fall baking.
Now for some updates-I recently attended a blogging trip with Samโs Club. I posted a few photos from my trip on our Facebook fan page. Check them out! It was a great time. I have been so busy this summer that I havenโt hit any farmerโs markets yet! Eek! I went to the local apple orchard but thatโs it. Gotta get my butt in gear ๐

How exciting for you to be teaming up with Thermador! Canโt wait to see your finished kitchen. Yes, itโs sad to see summer go, but fall and winter are exciting, too. And summer will be back!
I only made it to the Downtown SLC Farmerโs Market once. It was really fun, huge and lots of yummy things to see. I didnโt buy too much because it was a long walk back to the car and I only had four hands (my son was with me.) Great photos!

Beautiful photos! They are making me excited because summer is just around the corner down here. It has been a long winter!!
Those raspberries look incredible!! Iโll miss summer and all its tomatoes and berries, too, but Iโm excited for apples; squash; hot coffee, tea, and cider; and pumpkins, too!!
Itโs such a bittersweet time of year. I will miss summer, but love the pumpkins and apples of fall, and the citrus of winter. Beautiful photos and congrats on all your new gigs!
I am so sad to see the end of summer but I am looking forward to cooking roasts, soups, and stews.

I miss that change in season. Even though Iโve been away from that region for two years now, I always think about the weather and seasons. I probably would be packing up for a weekend trip in hopes to see golden aspens and a light dusting of snow on the higher peaksโฆbut Iโll just have to suffer w/ the TX heat for another month or so. :/
